In a change that was long anticipated, though ultimately happening closer to the start of the season that most fans expected, PGE Park (formerly Civic Stadium and Multnomah Stadium) has been renamed JELD-WEN Field starting at the beginning of the Timbers 2011 season.
JELD-WEN is a windows and doors manufacturer based in Klamath Falls, Oregon, employs about 2,500 people in Oregon and 20,000 worldwide in 20 countries.
Civic Stadium, built in 1926, had been renamed PGE Park in 2001 on a ten year deal.
