The Timbers fell 1-0 to the Columbus Crew on Saturday on a 79th minute own goal by defender Mamadou Danso. Newly acquired defender Lovel Palmer made his debut for the Timbers at right back, in place of Jeremy Hall, who was serving a one-game suspension for accumulated yellow cards.
