After blowing a 2-0 lead this past weekend against Toronto, the Timbers faced an even more daunting task as the MLS’s best club in the LA Galaxy came to tow, with David Beckham, Landon Donovan, and Juan Pablo Angel all starting. But the Timbers would break their six-game home winless streak, while ending the Galaxy’s 14-game unbeaten streak, with a decisive 3-0 win at JELD-WEN Field in front of another sold out crowd and nationwide ESPN2 audience.
