The Portland Timbers earned their second MLS road win in Vancouver on Sunday afternoon, and it was a doubly sweet win as their 1-0 victory on a Kenny Cooper spoiled the opening of a renovated BC Place, but also was very timely as it put the Timbers back into a tie for the last playoff position as DC United lost 2-1 to Columbus earlier in the day.
