The Timbers made a few very high-profile signing in the offseason, most notably in forward Kris Boyd, the all-time leading scorer in Scottish Premier League history with 164 goals in 296 appearances. The 28 year-old joins the Timbers after five seasons with Kilmarnock FC, and four seasons with Celtic before playing for Middlesborough, Nottingham Forest, and Eskişehirspor in Turkey before joining the Timbers on January 30.
Kris Boyd was introduced to Portland fans and the media on February 21.
