The Timbers U-23s continued their perfect start to the 2012 season, rallying from 1-0 down to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-23 for a 2-1 win in front of another Premier Development League record crowd of 8,174 on a Health and Fitness School Day at JELD-WEN Field. The U-23s broken their own record of 8,029 set on another Health and Fitness School Day on May 24.
After Ben Fisk put Vancouver up 1-0 32 minutes in, the Timbers would score twice in the second half just five minutes apart, both on assists by Mark Sherrod. The first was on a low shot by Roberto Farfan in the 65th minute, and Cam Vickers’s very tight angle goal five minutes later, that barely slipped over the line for the victory.
