After their 3-0 loss to Seattle, it may seem that the Timbers have nothing to play for, but with two games to go, a trophy is still within reach if the Timbers can reproduce their 1-0 win in Vancouver last year. If they can pull off the full 3 points north of the border, the Timbers will win their third Cascadia Cup, and the first with all three teams participating as Seattle was not included in 2009 and 2010 when they were in MLS while the Timbers and Whitecaps were still in the USL.
The 1-0 win in Vancouver last year on a goal by Kenny Cooper is one of only two road wins the Timbers have earned in their nearly two years in MLS. The other was a 1-0 win in Chicago on July 16, 2011.
