After starting to find some of the power rankings on other sites VERY curious because they seem to include non-MLS matches (apparently) and skew rankings towards “media darlings”, I decided to pull the rankings formula I used to use on a-league.com out of the archives and use it on MLS teams for the first time. These rankings are based purely on MLS results and consider home/away, strength of opponent, win margin (up to 3 goals) and recent form in calculating the ranking score. I will post these every Tuesday.
