Today the Portland Timbers announced their remaining schedule for the 2020 regular season. This week’s games vs. Seattle on Wednesday and vs. Vancouver on Sunday (at home, but it’s a road game. It’s complicated) had already been announced.
The remaining nine games of the schedule were announced today. They are:
- October 3 vs. Colorado Rapids
- October 7 at Los Angeles Galaxy
- October 11 vs. San Jose Earthquakes
- October 14 at Real Salt Lake
- October 18 vs. Los Angeles FC
- October 24 @ Seattle Sounders
- October 28 vs. Los Angeles Galaxy
- November 1 vs. Vancouver Whitecaps
- November 8 at Los Angeles FC
Just to confirm that there are imbalances in the 2020 schedule across the league, some teams are playing 23 games (including the Timbers), some are playing 22, and as it turns out, the 20 non-MLS-Is-Back games for the Timbers include 11 home games, 9 road games, and one of the road games (September 27 vs. Vancouver) will be at Providence Park because the Whitecaps are playing all of their remaining home games there.
