For the second season in a row, the Timbers leave Seattle with a great result, but losing a key player to a torn ACL. Last season it was Sebastián Blanco who went down with a torn ACL during a 2-1 Timbers win on September 6, 2020. This year it’s Eryk Williamson who suffered the torn ACL on a no-contact injury when he appears to get his cleats caught in the turf early in a 2-0 Timbers win.
