The Portland Timbers faced a Los Angeles Galaxy team tonight that had not won a game since August 14. And despite fighting back from a 62nd minute Chicharito goal, when Sebastián Blanco tied it 10 minutes later, the Timbers would ultimately lose when Josecarlos Van Rankin was called for a foul in the box in stoppage time, and Sacha Kljestan converted, just past the save effort of Steve Clark, and the Galaxy emerge with the late 2-1 win.
