Today the Portland Tiimbers terminated the contract of Andy Polo. Polo faces allegations from his ex-partner Génessis Alarcón about an incident that apparently took place on on May 23, 2021, and resulted in Washington County Sherriff’s Office citing Polo for harassment. Alarcón did not pursue further charges at the time, but more details were revealed this week when she was interviewed on a Peruvian talk show, and Polo was immediately suspended by the Timbers and MLS before his contract was terminated today.
