The Portland Timbers extended their unbeaten streak to six games when a late penalty kick earned them a 1-1 draw with the Vancouver Whitecaps. Felipe Mora would score the Timbers goal while Brian White would score for the Whitecaps.
It was the fifth consecutive match where the Timbers earned a penalty kick, extending a Major League Soccer record.
